Support Movements Trying to Prevent Global Warming. Get Involved!

Countries around the world must work together to prevent global warming. Unfortunately, countries are not moving quickly because national interests tend to take precedence over global warming countermeasures. NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) play an important role in taking up this slack. NGOs take up the issue of climate change and carry out activities at various levels, from local efforts to international cooperation, to prevent global warming. An NGO is an organization that collects opinions from citizens, appeals to them, and reaches out to governments and the media across national borders. There are NGOs working on global warming issues around the world, the largest of which is "ClimateAction Network: CAN", which has a local branch, CAN-Japan.

The member organizations of CAN-Japan are listed below. Each organization holds workshops and distributes information, and are actively looking for donations from those who support their activities.
