Guarana Has A Beneficial Effect for Alzheimer’s Disease

 

 

 

Catechin is a type of polyphenol that is well known as a component of green tea, and guarana has it too. In particular, studies have shown that guarana catechins are effective against Alzheimer’s disease.
One of the causes of this disease is a protein called amyloid β in the brain. There is an experimental result that guarana catechin has the ability to suppress the enlargement of amyloid β which kills nerve cells and causes the disease.
